Do I need a credit card to start the free trial?

No. You can sign up and use all features for 14 days without entering any payment information. At the end of your trial, you can choose a plan or your account will be paused.

How long does it take to get set up?

Most shops are fully configured and sending their first real quote within the hour. Add your shop name, tax rate, and a handful of parts to your library. That's it. No implementation project. No training days.

Can I import my existing customers and quotes?

You can add customers manually or they are created automatically when you build a quote. CSV import for customers and parts is on the roadmap.

Does Quotara work for my type of shop?

Quotara is built for job shops: CNC machining, metal fabrication, welding, custom parts, and tooling. If you quote custom jobs, track them on the floor, and want to understand job costs, Quotara is a fit.

Do I need CAD software or a 3D model to use the AI quoting?

No. Quotara works from whatever you already have: an RFQ email, a job description, a PDF drawing, a STEP file, or even a photo of a part. No CAD license. No setup. Just paste or upload and get a quote draft in seconds.

What file types does the AI accept?

STEP, IGES, DXF, DWG, STL, PDF, JPG, and PNG. If you can attach it to an email, Quotara can read it.

Can multiple people use it at the same time?

Yes. All plans support multiple users. Your estimator, supervisor, and operators can all log in simultaneously and see the same jobs in real time. You control what each person can see and do based on their role.

Does it integrate with QuickBooks?

Yes. Quotara integrates directly with QuickBooks Online on the Professional and Scale plans. When a quote is accepted, one click pushes it to QuickBooks as a complete invoice. Line items, tax, PO number, and due date are all synced automatically. Your customer is matched in QuickBooks or created if they don't exist yet. Connect your QuickBooks account in under 2 minutes from Settings.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. Monthly plans can be cancelled any time, and you keep access until the end of your billing period. Annual plans are non-refundable but can be cancelled to prevent renewal.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation, during which time you can export everything or reactivate. After 30 days it is permanently deleted.

How is my data protected?

Your data is stored in a Canadian or US-based data centre with encryption at rest and in transit. Each shop's data is completely isolated. No other user can ever see your quotes or customers. We comply with PIPEDA, Canada's federal privacy law.

Will Quotara ever sell my data?

Never. Your quotes, customers, and pricing are yours. We do not sell or share your data with any third parties.
